I selected the 2XL based on size chart, and it is a true American sized fit. It has a relaxed fit, so if you prefer a more regular fit, or slim fit feel, then it is possible you could size down. The material drapes nicely, and just has a quality look and feel to it. Light weight.How this hangs on you will depend on your body shape. I am 5'10", 275 lbs, and have an hour glass shape. My chest is smallish for my size, coming in around 44C (48"). Hips are 48" (some of that is from excess skin). 38" waist. The measurement on the size chart is accurate for width and length. I have a little excess skin (apron) at lower belly, so the shirt fills up a little compared to how it just hangs on model, but it totally fits as expected for this size. I have a long torso as well as being tall, so this fits like a normal length shirt--hits my hips. It does not come close to covering my bum, but at least it reaches my hip, and overall hangs nicely. The 29" length will cover bums on shorter folks.I like the side button design. It is barely noticeable in feel, yet it looks nice. I thought it may look tacky, or feel annoying.. but..it is an attractive detail. I am not usually into unnecessary details like that, but it works on this shirt. I have already been complimented on the shirt, so that means something.I also like that despite being a loose fit, I dont look frumpy. Usually a loose fitting shirt looks bad on my hour glass frame, as it hides my smaller/indented curve of waist. This just drapes well to hide bumps, but not my shape.I'm tempted to buy another color, perhaps try it sized down. Current price of $18.99 is reasonable. I add that in as companies tend to bump prices if reviews come in favorably, so hopefully it doesn't go higher.
